A week after the environment and land court ordered thousands of home owners occupying the over 900 acres Kirima land in Njiru, Chokaa and Mihango areas to either vacate or buy the land, residents have initiated negotiations with the representatives of the family on a settlement plan. Close to 900 families residing in an 80-acre piece of land inside the Kirima farm are reported to have put an offer to the family to procure the plots measuring 60 by 80 feet at 300,000 shillings. The deal which is pending approval by the Kirima family is among many proposals being fronted by the affected residents
