Some of the challenges that small business owners face: customers thinking we're charging too high. Or we devalue ourselves, thinking that we don't deserve to actually PAY ourselves too when creating something.

I could already imagine large, established corporations, such as in this video (Prada) would have a very high price point for scrunchies, but I definitely couldn't believe my eyes when I looked this up! Although in this video it seems that I am "bashing" Prada's scrunchie, I moreover wanted to explain that it is truly the prestige branding that allows the company to sell at that price point, even if there is nothing extraordinary about the product, yet no one ever really questions when a brand of that size does it. People will still buy it, even if you don't!

This video was moreover a reminder for those discourage small businesses from charging what they do, as if they should ONLY be competing with discount value stores such as dollar stores, Walmart, etc. to be cost competitive, rather than a more premium pricing strategy depending on their target market. It's a common struggle that small business owners face - because of being at the early stages and trying to get a grasp on brand recognition, it can be tough to compete with large companies as mentioned that price very high, or very low.

Please be kind to small business owners, they are trying their best and it truly takes lots of time and effort to make your product (in my case, I make each and every scrunchie, face mask, clothing piece, etc. from scratch).
