Backpacking Asia. Part 2 - Exploring and Eating Singapore!

Our second day in Singapore and Asia, and ready to get stuck into all the Hawker Stalls around town and see some of the sites. The food in Singapore is incredible, the variety and quality for such low prices is a foodies delight. And we love good food!

So we went out and explored, saw parts of the old town, checked out great mural art, visited a few temples around the city, and went to Chinatown for a good peruse, which is when we realized it was Chinese New Year coming up and so we got to sample a ton of Chinese treats and see the decorations and festivities coming together.

To top it off we ate, a lot and a lot of variety, trying savory porridge's, soupy sweets, and anything else silly enough to get in our way.

That evening we went to see the incredible Gardens by the bay light show, strolled through the park with all its lit up displays for Chinese New Year, and saw a rehearsal by a very cool band.

We had heat, we had a downpour and we soaked up the awesome mix of cultures and people that make up this amazing country.
