Ryan Libre is the founder, director, and primary instructor of Documentary Arts Asia (DAA). DAA is a non-profit organization which advances visual literacy and supports documentary artists in Asia. Raised and educated in Northern California, Ryan has called Asia home for over a decade. He spends a lot of time getting to know his subjects and very little time post-processing. Ryan's first feature length documentary When Will It Be is in editing and will be released in 2013.

Ryan is also the 2010 Nikon Inspiration Award Winner and the 2011 Chapnick grantee from the W. Eugene Smith Memorial Fund & a grantee of the Pulitzer Center.
