If you buy Girl Scout cookies on the West Coast next year, they’re going to look – and maybe taste – a little different. 

Cookies made on the left coast will be switching bakers from Little Brownie Bakers in Kentucky to ABC Bakers in South Dakota (where the rest of the country gets its Girl Scout cookies from.)

That means all the cookie recipes and most of the names will be different. Samoas will be called “Caramel deLites” and Tag-a-longs will be “Peanut Butter Patties” and both will look and taste different. Even though Thin Mints will still have the same name, the taste and texture will change.

So we decided to compare a box of Samoas (made by Little Brownie Bakers) to a box of Caramel deLites (made by ABC Bakers) to see if we could tell the difference between the two and if we liked one better.
