Описание к видео Medical Stories - EOE: Hard to Swallow

Imagine achieving your life’s dream to become a chef despite the fact that
80% of the food you prepare will trigger a severe reaction in your throat and
cause you to choke. Chef Lori lives that life. In this episode of Medical
Stories, we learn how both Lori, and Darrien, a talented student, have adapted
to live with eosinophilic esophagitis. EOE, as it is commonly known, is an
allergic condition where the esophagus becomes inflamed and does not
contract properly. Featuring renowned expert, Dr. Evan S. Delion, from the
University of North Carolina School of Medicine.

Medical Stories is an engaging Public Television docuseries with four Emmy
Award wins and eight Emmy nominations. We take viewers on an inspiring
journey of untold stories, often with an emotional twist that will not be found
on any other medical program. Highly cinematic in style, and very down-to-
earth in content, our documentary stories are anchored in the courage and
