Imagine achieving your life’s dream to become a chef despite the fact that
80% of the food you prepare will trigger a severe reaction in your throat and
cause you to choke. Chef Lori lives that life. In this episode of Medical
Stories, we learn how both Lori, and Darrien, a talented student, have adapted
to live with eosinophilic esophagitis. EOE, as it is commonly known, is an
allergic condition where the esophagus becomes inflamed and does not
contract properly. Featuring renowned expert, Dr. Evan S. Delion, from the
University of North Carolina School of Medicine.
