This week, large lava fountains were ejected to 1,000 feet...horizontally rather than vertically from Kilauea's summit. Meanwhile, in Italy, Mount Etna produced a series of three lava flows near its summit. And, in Russia, an earthquake swarm and rumbling seem to be ongoing at both the Kambalny & Koshelev volcanoes. This video will discuss these news stories through the perspective of a geologist, and list the 42 actively erupting volcanoes.
