New Accessory Prototype to assist loading kayak in the back of Pickup or Trailer: Leg extenders

Описание к видео New Accessory Prototype to assist loading kayak in the back of Pickup or Trailer: Leg extenders

Based on customer pull, I created a rapid prototype of a leg extender to attach to a production Freedom Launcher fishing kayak landing gear. This prototype is designed to lift the back of the kayak either an extra 12.5" or 16" to assist getting the kayak onto a taller surface like a pickup bed.

Customers have told me that they struggle getting their heavy kayak into their transportation solution without straining their back.

This is the very first time I've attempted to use the prototype leg extenders so you are getting the candid unvarnished version.

These leg extenders are only meant to be used to short distance in the parking lot to help assist customers get their heavy kayaks into taller, truck beds, etc.

Overall, I think they performed the way I intended them to perform. The trick is to get them on without having to lift the entire rear height to get the legs extended. I used some kayak STANDS to help keep the kayak suspended and reduce the lifting required. That seemed to work pretty well.

WHAT DO YOU THINK? Would love your feedback on this concept or if you have a better way to get the tail of a heavy kayak up onto a bed or trailer without lifting the dead weight.
