ZumaBugs (Zuma Deluxe / Tumblebugs Mod - 3 Years Later) [READ DESC]

Three years ago on March 27, 2020, I began working on this mod. This was the last upload on my second channel before it got terminated on March 28th. I have left this mod alone for three years and began focusing on modding Luxor. When I was going through files, I noticed that this mod was still sitting my files folder for so long, so I decided to spice up the mod. I still used the same paths that I've drawn in 2020 in the 2023 mod.

In my old mod, the mod was crashing a lot, so I decided to download a fresh copy of Zuma Deluxe from Internet Archive and make duplicate levels, because most of the levels in the original game were used twice or three times, so I made the X amount of copies of that level background and made it work in the XML document.

I am in the process of making ZumaBugs 2, based off of Tumblebugs 2. It will be some time before I release it because it has been three years since I used the Zuma path editor because I wanted to focus on modding Luxor. Update 4/5/23: The mod is complete. I have uploaded gameplay of the second mod and is available to download in the updated link.

Before anyone asks, I drew the paths with the Zuma path editor back in 2020. I did not borrow any paths from anyone's mod to add in mine. Back then, I was still experimenting with the path editor.

Special thanks to Alex Zuma for extracting the level images for Tumblebugs and Tumblebugs 2 from where I cannot do it on Windows.

Special thanks to the SphereMatchers community for the Tumblebugs WFA script to extract the Tumblebugs game files from both games and get cleaner sound effects than in my 2020 mod. As of 2023, the file is no longer available on SphereMatchers. I have copied the link through the Wayback Machine and re-uploaded the Tumblebugs WFA script on Google Drive. I also have nuked my 2020 version of the mod and replaced it with the 2023 version.

There are still some Zuma sounds and music in the mod. The game files in Tumblebugs do not offer anything to dub over the Zuma sounds.

Update: To play the mods or download the Tumblebugs WFA script file, you must join my Discord server in my about section. YouTube recently changed their links policy on all channels.
