One of the biggest obstacles to address is that self-doubt thing, you thought you were good at your craft, you’ve done everything you can think of to make for the perfect buying environment and people walk away with a free photo, leaving you standing there bewildered and wondering ‘what did I do wrong?’

Truth is, as far as the craft and the preparation – probably nothing, that’s more of a marketing issue which we cover in other videos.

The fact is, no matter how good your marketing is, some people will buy and others won’t, and you’ll never be able to predict it! This is sales now … the photography part is probably getting a lot easier now but the sales part? Well, no-one thought they were signing up to be a salesperson and that rejection is one of the hardest things to overcome – when people don’t buy your beautiful photos it can seem like a personal affront, but it’s not.

There are a just as many reasons why people don’t buy as there is reasons that they do.

You have to be made of tough stuff, or you have to learn to be. While this is one of the most rewarding and profitable industries I have ever been involved in, it requires hard work, persistence and tenacity, but, anyone can do it – as the old saying goes, ‘it’s simple but it’s not easy’ and you have to start now, there’s no benefit in waiting another day!
