Pennsylvania Railroad 8479

A good friend of mine told me about this locomotive. So my exploration/co-worker friend decided to go & find it & so we did.

PRR Alco RS3:
A diesel electric built between May 1950- August 1956. A total of 1418 were produced between that time. With 40 inch wheels & a length of approximately 56 ft 6in, & a weight of 247,000 Ib (112,100 Kg) it produced a tractive effort of 61,775 Ib (28,021 Kg). A top speed of 85 mph (137 km/h), the motor that supported this was a V12 four stroke diesel.
This engine sits in weeds & waits for a day that it can get the love it deserves. Although this engine has missing parts, it still could have a chance at some kind of survival.
