Drive it day 2023 Part Two... The Motorist and the Volvo P1800

Описание к видео Drive it day 2023 Part Two... The Motorist and the Volvo P1800

The Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs encourage owners of classic bikes, cars and commercial vehicles to participate in this annual event which was created in 2005 where yesterdays vehicles are supporting todays children by raising funds for the NSPCC Child Line through the purchase of a Drive It Day fund raising vehicle display plate.
Hard to believe a year has passed since last years event which I filmed at its final destination at Sherburn Aero Club. Sadly this year the destination had to be changed a few days prior due to heavy rain making the venue unsuitable for a car show, last years event by contrast was hot and sunny.
As the Aero Club was no longer available the Motorist Hub next door had become the new destination to congregate at there regular Sunday Cars & Coffee event where I shine a spotlight on a selection of vehicles on display. In this video we take a look at this beautiful early example of a Jenson assembled Volvo P1800 which was lovingly restored over a period of eight years by Barrie who has been custodian of this fine vehicle for over two decades.
