A Symbol of Freedom in Mariupol’s Heart.
In 2020, DION ART introduced one of Ukraine’s most innovative dry deck fountains—the “Arch” in Freedom Square, Mariupol. More than just a water feature, this installation redefines public space, blending technology, aesthetics, and interactivity to create a dynamic urban landmark that invites people to connect and engage.

A New Approach to Urban Design.
Unlike traditional fountains with basins, the “Arch” is designed as a walkable water installation, allowing visitors to move freely through streams of water. This fusion of functionality and artistic expression transforms the square into a lively, interactive environment where people can enjoy both refreshment and visual spectacle.

All technical components are housed underground, ensuring protection from vandalism and external damage while maintaining a seamless, minimalist aesthetic.

The Fluid Geometry of Water.
At the core of the fountain’s design are 120 precision-engineered laminar jets, forming smooth, perfectly arched water streams reaching up to 3.5 meters high. In static mode, these graceful arcs create a geometric pattern, offering a serene and refreshing experience for those walking through them.

In dynamic mode, the water movements shift and pulse, rising and falling rhythmically, giving the impression of a “breathing” fountain. This fluid transformation makes it more than just an urban installation—it becomes an interactive art piece that responds to and engages with its environment.

Illuminating the Night.
With 120 RGB lights integrated into the structure, the fountain undergoes a stunning transformation after dark. The water arches glow in vibrant colors, shifting and pulsing in mesmerizing patterns. Each light can function independently or synchronize into a unified composition, allowing for tailored light shows that range from subtle, ambient effects to dazzling, high-energy displays.

Smart Technology for Seamless Performance.
Equipped with an advanced automation system, the fountain operates with precision and efficiency. Features include:

Automatic water level control to prevent overflows and protect equipment.
Wind-sensitive jet height adjustment for optimal performance in changing weather.
Automated filtration, UV purification, and water softening to maintain pristine water quality.
