Tasty One Gallon Blueberry Muffin Mead Recipe (Gold Medal at NHC)

Today I’m teaching you how to make my award winning Blueberry Muffin Mead recipe! This recipe won 1st place in the Experimental mead category at the National Homebrew Competition. It’s super fun and really easy to make. It does require you to have a keg or the ability to force carbonate. This mead is about 6.5% ABV and super fun. You can find the recipe below. While the recipe is quite large, it’s definitely worth a try.

Blueberry Muffin Mead Recipe (1 Gallon)

2 lbs of Blueberries (with Pectic Enzyme)
2 lbs of Honey
Water up to 1 Gallon
2 Grams of Lalvin 71B-1122
3 Grams of Fermaid O
– Stabilize or Pasteurize –
.5 oz of Cake Batter Flavor
¼ tsp of Citric Acid
¼ tsp of Malic cid
.25 lbs of Maple Syrup
.5 lbs of Honey
.25 lbs of Brown Sugar
1 Cinnamon Stick
¼ tsp of Vanilla Extract
