The Spitzer Space Telescope, formerly the Space Infrared Telescope Facility (SIRTF), is an infrared space telescope launched in 2003 and is planned to be retired in January 2020. Spitzer uses infrared light to peer past interstellar dust to see details that are obscured in visible light. The telescope also uses spectral analysis to determine a basic understanding of the chemical composition of what it is looking at.

Unlike most telescopes that are named after famous deceased astronomers by a board of scientists, the new name for SIRTF was obtained from a contest open to the general public. The contest led to the telescope being named in honor of astronomer Lyman Spitzer, who had promoted the concept of space telescopes in the 1940s.

Like the Kepler Space Telescope It follows a heliocentric orbit instead of geocentric orbit, trailing and drifting away from Earth's orbit at approximately 0.1 astronomical units per year on a so-called "earth-trailing" orbit.

Also until now I've always used Windows Movie Maker to create videos but my last windows update broke it. Being me I assumed Windows did this on purpose to try to get me to buy the next installment of Movie Maker but Thanks to Ryan I now use Kdenlive which is better than Movie Maker and Open source, do check it out: https://kdenlive.org/en/

This craft was made using KSP version 1.2.2 and requires no mods or DLC so anyone can enjoy. I've loaded into my current version of KSP to make the video.
