Wicked: For Good, directed by Jon M. Chu, brings the two-part cinematic adaptation of the beloved Broadway musical to its powerful conclusion. Based on the stage production created by Stephen Schwartz (music and lyrics) and Winnie Holzman (book), and inspired by Gregory Maguire’s reimagining of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, the film completes the untold story of Oz’s most misunderstood witches.

Following the events that irrevocably altered their paths, the story unfolds in a divided Oz where truth has been rewritten. Branded as the Wicked Witch of the West, Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo) lives in exile, hunted by fear and propaganda as the Wizard’s control tightens. Forced into the shadows, she must confront the systems that turned her into a villain - and decide how far she is willing to go to reclaim her voice and her legacy.

Meanwhile, Glinda (Ariana Grande) emerges as the shining symbol of goodness, celebrated by the public and positioned alongside the Wizard’s regime. Yet behind the pageantry, she wrestles with the moral cost of her status and the quiet weight of choices left unspoken. As Oz grows increasingly hostile toward magic, Glinda must confront where her loyalties truly lie - and what goodness really means.

As tensions rise, those closest to them are pulled into the fallout. Fiyero (Jonathan Bailey), Boq (Ethan Slater), Nessarose (Marissa Bode), and the Wizard (Jeff Goldblum) each face their own reckoning in a land shaped by fear, power, and transformation. Relationships are strained, ideals are challenged, and the consequences of past decisions can no longer be avoided.

Blending sweeping spectacle with emotionally charged musical moments, Wicked: For Good explores themes of identity, friendship, sacrifice, and forgiveness. The film delivers a stirring and bittersweet finale - one that honors its Broadway roots while expanding the emotional depth of Elphaba and Glinda’s journey, bringing their story to a resonant and unforgettable close.
