The CLIFF HOUSE Becomes A Museum in San Francisco

Описание к видео The CLIFF HOUSE Becomes A Museum in San Francisco

The World Famous Cliff House in San Francisco has been entertaining people since the 1860s. It closed during the pandemic but is now reopened as a temporary museum curated by the non-profit Western Neighborhoods Project: The Museum At The Cliff

This museum showcases all the area's history from Land's End to Naiad Cove and the Sutro Baths, Sutro Heights, Playland-At-The-Beach, and of course the iconic Cliff House itself, and all it's variations.

The Cliff House was a restaurant that welcomed the wealthy elite such as President Taft and Mark Twain, and was owned by Comstock Lode mining titan Adolph Sutro for a time, before the Whitney Brothers brought the property to tie into Playland down the Great Highway.
