BJP nominates actress-turned-politician Khushbu Sundar as member of NCW

BJP's Khushbu Sundar thanked the Centre, PM Modi and other members of National Commission for Women (NCW) for trusting her and giving her the responsibility. The BJP leader said she intends to create enough awareness to instil confidence in women to come forward with their complaints. Sundar, a member of the BJP's national executive committee, had earlier posted the notification of her appointment on social media. "I thank our H'ble PM @narendramodi ji and the government of India for entrusting me with such a huge responsibility. I shall strive hard to protect, preserve & nourish Nari Shakthi which is growing leaps & bounds under your leadership. Looking forward eagerly. #JaiHind @NCWIndia," Sundar tweeted earlier.
