Video: Backstage interview with Eric Martin of Mr Big - Part 2

Mr Big vocalist Eric Martin sat down with Roppongi Rocks’ Stefan Nilsson on the Mr Big tour bus backstage at the Skogsröjet festival in Sweden on 3rd August 2024.

In part 2 of the interview, Eric talks about Pat Torpey’s death and the fill-in drummers that Mr Big has used. He also talks about his participation in the upcoming Tak Matsumoto Group Japan tour (also featuring Jack Blades and Matt Sorum) which will take place in September and October.

Mr Big was formed in Los Angeles in 1988 by Eric Martin, Billy Sheehan, Paul Gilbert and Pat Torpey. The band reached big success globally and has continued recording and touring on and off throughout the years. In 2018 Pat Torpey passed away. “Ten”, the band’s most recent album, was released in July 2024 and “The Big Finish” tour ended in Romania on 23rd August 2024. #mrbig #thebigfinish #backstage #backstageinterview #tourbus #skogsrojet
