Explain & Verify | uMkhonto weSizwe Party election claims - 20 June 2024

On Friday, last week, the country witnessed 342 members of the National Assembly, sworn -in, the election of the speaker and president.

The country now has a president for the seventh democratic administration, President Matamela Cyril Ramaphosa.

Tonight we are explaining and verifying some claims made UMkhonto WeSizwe Party whose members were absent during both the swearing in of National Assembly members as well as presidential inauguration.

Last Sunday, the party announced it will eventually take up its seats in parliament.

The party still insists there was gross election irregularities and vote rigging.

The party claims millions of votes were not accounted for.
