ein kleiner Ort mit vielen Möglichkeiten und einem spektakulären Fluggebiet.

"Der Startplatz von Omiš wurde kürzlich als vollwertiger PG-Start in Privatbesitz vom Club Pegaz (Jerko-Tel: +385 91 619 4723) wiedereröffnet. Alle Piloten müssen sich an den Betreiber und Dienstleister der Piloten wenden: Agentur DAL MARE (in der Altstadt von Omiš) unter +385 95 577 3146 (Josip).
Der Startplatz von Omiš ist über einen 300 m langen Wanderweg an einem steilen Hang des felsigen Omiš-Dinara-Gebirges leicht erreichbar. Er ist für die Westwindrichtung geeignet (vorzugsweise "Mistral", warme Meeresbrise, ähnlich Phön in Tälern). Startkategorie/-klassifizierung ist C (mittlerer bis erfahrener Pilot). Der PG-Standort eignet sich hervorragend für Akrofliegen, Klippenfliegen und mit einem Startwind von 3 m/s (10 km/h) können Sie einen vollen Tag mit PG-Erfahrungen verbringen und die wunderschönen Sehenswürdigkeiten des Flusses Cetina, des Omiš-Dinara-Gebirges und der Adriaküste genießen.

Ich persönlich würde Anfängern nicht empfehlen dorthin zu fliegen. Der Start ist recht steil, der Landeplatz ist ein im Sommer überlaufener Stadtstrand und auch ein stärkerer Mistral kann vom Startplatz bis zum Strand und auch während der Landung selbst Probleme bereiten - und wenn dieser schwach ist, ist es auch keine gute Situation :) Sie sollten die Vorhersage sorgfältig studieren und in einem günstigen Windintervall starten. Wenn der Strand überfüllt ist, ist das Stadion eine gute Option.

"The Omiš take-off is recently re-opened as a fully-fledged PG take off in a private ownership of Club Pegaz (Jerko-Phone : +385 91 619 4723). All pilots must contact the operator and service provider to the pilots: Agency DAL MARE (in Old town Omiš)at +385 95 577 3146 (Josip).
The Omiš take-off is easily accessible via a 300 m long hiking trail on a steep slope of rocky Omiš Dinara range. It is suitable for West wind direction (preferably "mistral" warm sea breeze, similar to phoen in valleys). The take-off category/classification is C (intermediate to experienced pilots). The PG site is great for acro flying, cliff soaring and with the take-off wind of 3m/s (10 km/h), you can have a filled day with PG experience enjoying beautiful sights of Cetina river, Omiš Dinara range and Adriatic sea riviera."

Personally, I would not recommend flying there for beginners, the take-off is quite steep, the landing site is a crowded city beach in summer, even a stronger mistral can cause problems from the take-off site to the beach during the landing itself, and if it is weak, it is not a good situation either :) You should carefully study the forecast and start in a favorable wind interval. If the beach is crowded, the stadium is a good option.
