Puberty is an important transitional phase during which the body changes from childhood to adulthood.

Don’t worry, it’s completely normal. But for some might be challenging, causing stress and anxiety, especially if the topic was not discussed with parents before.

Puberty typically begins between 10 to 14 years for girls, and 12 to 16 years for boys.

In girls, there is gradual development of the breasts, appearance of armpit and pubic hair, and the start of menstruation.
In boys, changes include a deeper voice, increased height, muscle growth, appearance of facial and armpit hair, and enlargement of the genitals.

There are also psychological changes such as mood swings, a desire for independence, and growing interest with the opposite sex.

There’s no need to worry — puberty is a natural stage that everyone goes through.
