THE AENEID By VIRGIL: A Beginner's Guide to the History That Links Ancient Rome to the Trojan War

And so the new series begins! Virgil's Aeneid is the last "epic poem" that survives from the ancient world. By this I mean that it's the last poem exploring characters from the famous Trojan War. Virgil wrote about the Trojan character of Aeneas (who we met in the Iliad) and detailed his journey to find a new Troy ... this time, on the coast of Italy.
