Welcome to the third round of the Super Production Challenge. We're at iCar Complex racing for ApexV2R. As pretty much all rounds this season so far, I'm racing in this track for the first time, and now with barely any simulator practice, since we don't have access to a good Laser Scanned version of it. I had to be content with Onboard videos on Youtube.

After the first 20 minute session of practice, I was 4 seconds off the pace. The next session is already qualifying and I'll have to use it to practice and find as much time as I can before the first race.

During the qualifying session I was able to find two seconds and a half, and was about to hit some great laps but got a lot of traffic and ended up not setting up anything representative. That put me in p8 for the race, but I had to start p11 thanks to a three-places grid penalty from a contact in the previous race.

Race 1 went well, especially because of the lack of experience with the track. I had many opportunities to get that p6 but couldn't make them stick and will have to accept my p7.

On race 2, I had my best performance so far. Thanks to James Carter, one of my long-term sim racing students, who decided to donate a full set of tires to me for this event, for the very first time I got on the top 3 times in a practice session, and went on to beat my team-mate's best lap in race 2. I still had to start from the back because of my poor qualifying session (that determines the starting position of all races), so ended up finishing p7 and p8 again. Unfortunately I lost the onboard footage from the races due to a faulty memory card :(

We head on to the Three-Rivers Grand Prix, the most popular street racing event in Canada! I'll see you there :)
