This brief video illustrates the symbolic links between the internal function of the proposed Whitehaven Forum and external spaces.

Theatre - symbolises the individual - represented by the Market Place which is the historic centre of Whitehaven.

Council Chamber - symbolises the state - represented by the new Civic Square that offers a national identity of Whitehaven and provides a space for public decent. It also signifies the transparency between the bureaucratic state and the rest of the town/region.

Auditorium - symbolises the corporation - represented by the new Campus Quad. The 'Big 6' energy companies have been forced by the government to take their corporate social responsibility seriously resulting int eh creation of the 'Big 6' Consortium that is focused supporting the Specialist Energy Campus. The heart of the education is centred in the campus quad and thus its links with the corporation.
