I love trying DIY natural hair care but hesitated to try fermented Rice Water. People said it smelled gross, and to be honest it seemed kind of gross. I made 3 different batches of Rice Water to find one that didn't smell. The Secret to making fermented rice water smell better is to add a little bit of Citric Acid. Citric Acid is a natural preservative. It allows the water to sit for an extended period of time without developing an odor. Use Citric Acid with caution too much can be drying.
