An LC Gate is an intersection where a railway line crosses a road. LC Gates can be classified into different categories depends upon road. All LC Gates on important roads are A class. The gates are opened to road traffic. The LC Gates less busy are B class. The gates were inter locked with signals, when gates were closed then only signals were taken off. The LC Gates provided for road are called C class.

They are two types there are 1 INTER LOCKED 2 NON INTER LOCKED There are Traffic Gates, Engineering Gates, Traffic gates are in station limits and Engineering gates are out in station limits
