Laundry Room Makeover Part 2 | Cottage Transformation | DIY Countertop | Thrifted and Vintage Decor

Welcome to Part 2 of the Laundry Room Makeover!
In this video we will be finishing up transforming the room from plain builder grade to a cozy cottage style. This project did take a bit longer than planned but we were learning so many new skills jumping into this!

Our home is 114 years old and much of the home has lost its charm over the years. So I wanted to create a calm, inviting and warm space in the laundry room. We also were missing storage and functionality.

Last video we installed french doors with antique door knobs and backplates. We also installed beadboard on the walls and custom built the shelving in the utility closet.

In todays video we will be:
1. Wallpapering the walls!
I picked a design called Scala Beige from the site Wallpaper from the 70's. All links to items will be below!

2. DIY Countertop!
We will also be building a countertop and using walnut veneer to bring in a warm wood tone.

3. DIY Backyard Screen Door
We have a magnetic screen door that leads to the backyard and to match the cottage aesthetic in the room I'll be sewing a new screen door by reusing the old screens pieces and attaching a floral lace fabric.

4. Decorating!
So excited to get to the best part! Decorating! I'll be adding back some items and decor that were already in the room before and also adding additional vintage, secondhand, antique items I've picked up from thrift stores, estate sales, flea markets and antique stores. Definitely come decorate with me!
