This channel chronicles the recent saga of 182 Graham Avenue under Building Manager Antonio Hernan Cook of Urban Properties, including the events leading up to the Order to Repair/Vacate Order of November 2010 and the actions, activism, and court proceedings that followed it.

This video is the first walk-through of the building after Mr. Cook began his tenure as building manager on August 1, 2018. Already by this time he had started changing things around the place. He had relocated the tenants on the second floor onto the 3rd floor and this video shows the massive (and unpermitted) renovations that took place, including the removal and replacement of doors and removal of original cabinetry, destroying the character of the kitchen.

182 Graham Avenue was built in the 1890's as a private home. It was converted into a 4-unit dwelling in the 20th Century, and has been used as an SRO of 10-15 units since at least the early 1990's, despite having a Certificate of Occupancy filed in 1988 saying there were only four units.

It has been owned since December 1997 by Efrain Gerena of Port Rich Realty who continued to run it as an SRO.
