Color Guard 6x6 Patriot Post Mount Installation

Today we are going to show you how to install the Patriot Post Mount by Color Guard with the 6” X 6" Filler Kit.

Patriot Post Mount comes fully boxed and includes the steel post, high density 4x4 fillers, adjustment leveling plate and screws. For this installation, you will need also the separate 6x6 filler kit and sleeve.

Before you install the Patriot Post Mount you will need to gather safety glasses, fasteners appropriate for your type of decking material, a socket wrench, level, speed square and a drill.

To install, first add the adjustment screws to the post base,

Determine were you are going to mount the post, and mark four mounting holes for pre-drilling, then drill.

Secure the post with fastening screws, but don’t tighten all the way because the post still needs to be leveled.

Next, adjust the leveling screws. The Patriot Post Mount can be leveled up to 11 degrees in any direction.

Once leveled, secure the four fasteners.

Next, we’ll attach the fillers using the pre-drilled holes. To do this, next the 4x4 fillers inside the 6x6 fillers and attach using the longer screws included with the 6x6 filler kit.

Slide on the 6x6 sleeve and put on the cap, and this installation is complete.
