Pivot Charter School, North Bay utilizes a standards-based online curriculum with onsite support for students in grades 6-12. The courses can be accessed 24 hours and provide an innovative high quality education. We incorporate an online curriculum with California-credentialed online teachers and California-credentialed on-site teachers working side by side with students as they are engaged in their courses. This allows a student's educational program to be individualized to their needs enabling them to successfully complete their requirements, graduate on time, and move into the next stages of either career or college life.

Caring Teachers
Students have access to both online and site-based California-credentialed teachers. Online teachers are available 24/5. (Sunday 8PM to Friday 6PM) Site based teachers provide oversight of the student's entire educational program from choosing the correct courses, to tracking the students' progress in their courses and ensuring students are getting the support they need on a daily basis. Students are surrounded by California-credentialed teachers who are truly invested in their success at school and in their future endeavors.

High Quality Courses
PCS schools offer a comprehensive curriculum including courses in all Core-Content areas (i.e. English, Math, Science, Social Studies, Computer Literacy), Foreign Languages, Physical Education, Fine Arts, multiple Electives, as well as College-Prep and Advanced Placement courses. Students may also take advantage of our Passport to College partnership with DeVry University where high school students have the opportunity to take free online college classes for credit.

Flexible Access
Students may work entirely from home, an internet café, or anywhere there is internet connection and a computer. Students may also choose to attend site based classes and tutoring with the Pivot teachers in a Pivot Charter School, North Bay resource center. The adaptable schedule gives students the flexibility to work, take care of family or just pursue interests outside of school.

The online curriculum provider has a proven track record in partnering with schools across the nation to deliver customizable online learning solutions that include web-based curriculum, Highly-Qualified/Credentialed teachers, a 24/7 support environment, and a proprietary technology platform specifically designed for secondary education for students in grades 6-12. Students learn and communicate with their teachers in our safe, secure online environment. Parents, students and teachers can get up-to-date progress reports at any time to help track student progress.
