One of the major issues today's youth grapples with today is that of broken families. We read the evidence and effects of it every day in our newspapers -- hundreds of divorces, suicides by children, general rise in stress levels, etc. ""Project SOS - Save Our Sons"" is the story of the Matthias family, a family once seeped in evil ways and deeds, but who is brought back to the path of God by the support of their local Church. Through a series of events, we see the transformation of Enoch and Lucas Matthias. Drawing inspiration from Jesus' famous parable of the Prodigal Son and the stories of the lives of our Saints, we aim to portray a poignant picture of the serious situation of broken families in today's world and how we, as the Christian youth can create a more responsible society.
Enoch Matthias, the head of the family is often away from home due to various reasons. He and his wife Naomi often quarrel over his constant absence. In the absence of his father, Enoch Matthias, a young boy is forced to look after his mother Naomi and sister Hannah. We see the inner struggle of Enoch to resist temptation and stay in the ways of the Lord, and ultimately how he triumphs over evil with the help of his Church.
Thus, through the story, ""Project SOS - Save Our Sons"", we aim to highlight the grave issue of broken families -- its causes, effects and how the Church can prevent it.
