Описание к видео Aftermarket and OEM solutions for reducing motion sickness effects in vehicle passengers

Motion sickness is a common affliction that effects 1 and 3 adults and 1 and 2 children worldwide. In most cases, motion sickness effects only passengers, with drivers never feeling the effects. Michigan Engineering researcher's are working to reduce these effects by developing technologies that can alert passengers of the unexpected vehicle movements that catch them off guard. By using predictive algorithms and vehicle sensors, Preact can predict a vehicles moments and send this information back to the passenger by either vibrating the seat to encourage a passenger to react, or by titling the seat to make the corrections for them. After extensive user studies, the technologies have proven to reduce the effects of motion sickness by nearly half. It's a solution that can help passengers in todays vehicles, and will be helpful in the future as more autonomous vehicles hit the road.

At the start of the year, Mechanical Engineering Professor, Shorya Awtar and PhD candidate, Daniel Sousa Schulman, formed a start-up named, Motion Sync, to begin commercializing Preact, and have begun working with a major automotive manufacture to begin implementing the tech.
