Back in the early 90's, late 80's I was very young, pre-teens learning to draw, socialize, and how hard this planet can be on people.
I earned a weekly allowance, with this, I walked to my local convenient store to buy my regular comics, and candy. Upon my surprise, the X-Factor series I was following ended, no Spider-Man??? What's this? Issue #72 of Marvel Comics Presents? Well, I DO love the Wolverine, I'll bite.

30 years later, and this is still one of my favorite stories ever told in the Marvel universe.

Written and Illustrated by Barry Windsor-Smith this trippy, violent, psychological rollercoaster ride tells the story of how our favorite mutant member of the X-Men got his lovely claws, adamantium, skeleton, and the mental scars that would last him the rest of his life.
