The organ in the Grotekerk, Oosthuizen is of uncertain provenance but it certainly dates back to the late Gothic, early Renaissance era. Its pipes are amongst the oldest playable examples in the Netherlands. Here Sietze de Vries enjoys the exquisite and complex tones of the 8ft 'Praestant' stop, its singing qualities further enhanced by the Meantone tuning with its perfect thirds.
