On this day in 1965, the crew started filming Bond in the shark-filled swimming pool in THUNDERBALL. Production designer Ken Adam built a Plexiglas corridor in the pool with Sean Connery one side and the sharks the other. During one take one shark managed to get through. “I got out of the water so fast I think I was dry when I touched the side,” said Connery.
