ZLRC SG108 GPS MINI DRONE - FLIGHT TEST

Flight test of the ZLRC SG 108 Mini Drone (Also known as the L108.) Its a low costing GPS quadcopter with 5.8 WiFi Ghz image transmission, brushless motors and optical flow.

Now this drone is a fantastic flyer for sure as you can see in the video. Its unfortunate that it doesn’t have a 2 or 3-axis gimbal or even EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization) on the camera, so you will get shaky video. The other thing is that it does not have a SD card slot option, so the video is saved directly onto your phone via the 5G WIFI Image Signal at a lower bitrate, which means you might get some skipped frames in your video or loss in pixels as well. It would’ve been nice to record the video onto an SD card to obtain the highest quality video resolution. Other than that, I like this quad a lot. I’m very impressed on how it performs. It did extremely well flying at higher altitudes (90-100m+) and in pretty high winds. The FPV image transmission is okay at 200m before you start noticing lag—though the Radio signal on the remote without a phone in VLOS (Visual Line of Sight) is quite superb. I also didn’t get any toilet bowl effects at all with this drone. The battery lasts a long time and on this flight I got 23 minutes but could’ve have gone longer if I wanted to. The app (on iOS) works very well and I didn’t experience any bugs or crashes on this first test flight. Definitely a fun flyer that weighs only 242 grams and at a great price point.

I give it a DS (Drone Syndrome) rating of 8 1/2 out of 10.
