This is pretty short and from a long time ago (2019) but I like the chromaticism.

Weirdly enough, it took me far more tries to get a recording of this I liked than for any of my more technically difficult pieces. Maybe because any mistakes feel less "forgivable" - in the scherzo, for example, I was willing to use a recording with a few very blatant wrong notes because it was a solid take overall, and I knew that I was never going to get it perfect. For this one, I was throwing out recordings if even one chord came out too loud or not confident enough, because getting a better version always felt achievable.
