Imagine the wilderness - a vast terrain
where Jesus wandered for forty days
Dryness, emptiness, hunger, solitude
and temptation
He was tempted to seek
comfort, power, control
He was vulnerable, but remained firm
You can’t live by bread alone…
Worship and serve only God…
Don’t put God to the test…
Have you ever felt tested, worn out, tempted to take the easy path?
To compromise your integrity
Like Jesus?
Have you ever felt like you’re in the wilderness?
Lost, bewildered, afraid
Like Jesus?
But this is what matters…
In that wilderness, in his vulnerability,
Jesus stood firm
He relied on God
It’s not easy, when life feels tough
When you feel unmoored
And everything is uncertain, unclear
But you’re not alone
The same Spirit who led Jesus into the wilderness
And through it
Is with you now
Remember this:
Even in the wilderness you are held
You are loved, you are precious
and you are never alone
