INDIAN MUTTON CURRY (Stove Top & Slow Cooker)

Hyderabadi Dum Gosht is a tasty Mutton recipe cooked under slow heat till mutton turns tender and juicy.
This is perfect for a leisurely Sunday family meal

Ingredients
For Marination
Mutton - 500 grams
Ginger garlic paste - 1.5 tbsp
Bay leaves - 2
Green Cardamom - 5
Cloves - 5
1 inch Cinnamon stick - 1
Green chillies, slit - 5
Coriander leaves, chopped - 1/2 cup
Mint Leaves, chopped - 1/2 cup
Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
Red chilli powder - 1.5 tbsp
Garam masala powder - 1.5 tbsp
Fried onions ( 4 onions)
Oil/ghee - 1/4 cup
Curd - 1 cup
Lemon juice - 1/2 lemon
Salt to taste
Other Ingredients
20 Almonds
15 Cashew nuts
1/4 dry coconut, chopped
water as required
Method
in a blender jar add almonds, cashews, dry coconut
add water required to blend
blend until smooth
to a large mixing bowl, add blended paste and all the ingredients required for marination
mix well & marinate overnight overnight / at least for 1 hour (refrigerate)
Now Grease a kadai with oil
add marinated mutton
if its too thick you can adjust the consistency by adding buttermilk or water
cover the kadai & seal with roti dough
Place the kadai on the stove
cook for 2 mins on high flame and keep aside
now place a tawa on the stove
place heated kadai on top of the tawa
cook for 5 mins on high flame
and the simmer for 35 mins
turn off the flame
garnish with coriander leaves
Tasty Hyderabadi dum ka gosht is ready
Serve hot with roti, naan, biryani, pulao, steamed rice or any flavored rice...
