Eltariel's equipment is much different from Talion's. There are no random equipment drops in the Blade of Galadriel. Every piece of equipment is gained in a specific way. Many of the abilities gained by Eltariel's equipment correspond to some of Talion's skills that Eltariel does not have in her skill tree, meaning you must equip a specific item to use certain abilities that you may be used to using with Talion.

Eltariel's starting equipment is considered normal equipment in terms of rarity, but it functions much more closely to how Epic equipment functions in the main campaign. Each piece of equipment has 1 ability, and another ability that is only unlocked after completing an unlock challenge to unlock the ability and upgrade the equipment.

Every other piece of equipment is Legendary and is earned by killing a specific Legendary Orc, or group of Legendary Orcs.

Every piece of equipment from every set has only a single upgrade challenge. Completing the upgrade challenge will raise the level of the equipment by 5. Eltariel's default equipment is the only set that has abilities that are unlocked through these challenges. The other Legendary sets all have their abilities unlocked automatically when you receive them, and completing the upgrade challenges only increases the weapon level by 5. Additionally, like Legendary sets in the main campaign, each Legendary Set has additional special abilities that are unlocked by equipping 2 and 4 pieces of equipment from the same set.

Additionally, there is no Mirian in this DLC, so there is no cost for upgrading equipment. Simply go into the equipment menu, find the equipment that has had its upgrade challenge completed, and hold Square/X to upgrade the equipment.
