Yamaha R1 rider wearing full leathers high-sides at Azusa Canyon - "Lucky to be alive"

This crash was one of the more violent high-sides I have seen in person. I did get the chance to talk with the rider, and he mentioned that leading up to the crash that he wasn’t feel all that great about the tires he was using. Luckily, he was able to walk away from this one and if you watch closely, a different rider rode his bike back down the mountain.

And yes, that was Yamaha’s 60th edition R1.
