Chuck bought a Da Vinci 1.0A with an #0030 error on EBAY that was sold for parts but he fixed it with a little troubleshooting and a solder sleeve from Inventables.com. This appears to be a fairly common failure mode so hopefully this will help anybody else with this kind of failure mode.
