'We Will Never Come Back': Factories Stare At Bleak Future As Migrant Workers Refuse to Return

No matter which highway we travel on or what week of the lockdown it is, we see heartbreaking scenes of migrant workers on the road desperate to go back home. Even after Special trains have started, Migrants can still be seen walking the highways. These men are cement workers from Bihar, who work in Rajasthan. As they walk the 1300 Kms home, they say that the question of them returning to work does not arise. "We have been treated terribly by the factory owners, we will never come back,". Left without wages, food and even dignity, this could be a challenge across states. How can factories open without workers?
