Whether it's metabolic engineering designed to generate biofuels from photosynthetic organisms like algae or creating new polymers to aid in bone regeneration for the knees and back, the work being done at Vanderbilt University's Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering department tackles "big picture" questions on both a macro and molecular scale! Nanoparticles for drug delivery. Microelectronic materials. Computational molecular engineering. Biomaterials and tissue engineering. We're looking for students that want to make materials that are critical to our lives better, faster and less expensive. Our areas of research and expertise are varied.
