Mount Bogong Circuit Hike

This incredible four day loop up and around Mount Bogong in the Alpine National Park is both challenging and insanely beautiful.

I was incredibly fortunate with the weather, despite a freak summer storm dumping quite a bit of snow around the alpine peaks for the few days prior, I managed to get four days of perfect conditions. Seeing the summit of Bogong under snow was definitely the highlight of the hike, but the full circuit proved to be an ideal challenge preparing me for future stints in the alpine region.

Total ascent: 3,345 m
Total descent: 3,321 m

Day 1: Mountain Creek to Bogong Creek Saddle
Day 2: Bogong Creek Saddle to Ropers Hut
Day 3: Ropers Hut to Cleve Cole Hut
Day 4: Cleve Cole Hut to Mountain Creek
