Indian BSF issues "Ops Alert" on Bangladesh Border | BGB | Breaking News

The Indian Border Security Force (BSF) has issued an 'ops alert' on the Bangladesh border. An order has been issued in this regard, and an order has been issued to conduct exercises on the border between Bangladesh and India in the northeast of India and West Bengal.
Indian media reported that the BSF has issued this 'ops alert' on the Bangladesh border from January 23 to 31 in view of the country's upcoming Republic Day.
According to the report, Bangladesh has a total of 4096 kilometers of border with India, including the northeast and West Bengal. ADG and Special DG of the Eastern Command, Ravi Gandhi, has issued a notification and warned the border outposts in charge of all the borders.

The order issued on Thursday (January 23) evening said that the BSF should be on high alert from January 23 to January 31. This order has been named 'ops alert' in BSF terminology.

The order also said that repeated exercises should be conducted on the border. Security arrangements should be tightened. If necessary, additional troops will be deployed at night to increase surveillance.

Quoting the BSF, Indian media reports claimed that this alert has been issued on the border around Republic Day.

The Eastern Command has said that the residents of the villages along the border will have to be well informed about this. And the top officials of the BSF will have to take that responsibility. Already, the Special DG of India's Eastern Command has visited several border outpost areas.

The instructions also said that there are several parts where there is no barbed wire. The most surveillance is required in unprotected areas. These areas will have to be kept more alert for the next seven days.
