rFactor - 2005 - A Casual Review

rFactor undoubtedly changed the world of sim racing. In the sea of dedicated sims for Formula 1, NASCAR and Sportscar racing, along came ISI's new sandbox sim with a sophisticated new physics engine and an emphasis on mod-ability. What the community was able to do was incredible! Over the next few years every car and track you could ever imagine was created for rFactor, allowing sim racers around the world to live out their racing dreams. Although ignored by many, the stock content in rFactor was heavily used back in 2005-2006. Online races around Toban or the Mills kept us occupied for hours. So for an evening, a look back at the base rFactor game from 2005 and how revolutionary it truly was.
