This is a rare Datsun Bluebird racing car built by Jim Froula at Racecraft in Woodinville, WA. Rebello Racing in California built the engine. Froula purchased the incomplete street car from its original owner in 2005. The car is registered as a 1963 model when it was imported from Japan into California, but it’s believed to be a 1970-1972 model. The Datsun, a right-hand drive car, is believed to be the only Bluebird race car in the U.S.

Froula converted the car into a race car soon after he purchased it in 2005 and actively raced it for years. Log books included with the sale show that he raced it at Laguna Seca in the Monterey Historics as well as Seattle, Portland, Spokane, Sonoma, Thunderhill, Coronado, Watkins Glen and Road America.

The car was built to the highest standards and maintained over the years. The engine has been freshened up and dyno tested at a very healthy 225 hp and 176 lb-ft.

Some features of the car include:
Rebello 1800cc engine
G-Force T5 transmission
Limited slip rear differential with oil cooling system
DATSPORT adjustable rear cross member
FIA 4 piston front calipers and vented rotors
Aluminum rear drums
Custom stainless header and exhaust
Completely seam welded chassis
Powdercoated engine bay, interior, trunk and underside
Fuel cell with alloy container
AP hanging pedal assembly and Tilton master cylinders
front coil over struts and rear spring weight jackers
aluminum radiator
1 1/2" rollcage made of 1 1/2" seamless D.O.M. tubing, TIG welded

Adam Carolla purchased the car in September 2015 and although he never had the chance to race it, it has been a featured car in his collection.
