Over many centuries London has lost many amazing buildings, sometimes because of war or fire, but often simply due to being a growing city, and demand for larger or different buildings. Some of these historic buildings were lost well before the age of photography, and all that remains is paintings or illustrations of them. However, some remained standing long enough for them to have lasted into the photographic era, and there is photos of how they once looked on the streets of London. This video of colorised original black and white photos are some of the buildings that no longer exist, well at least most are... At then end there is some examples of buildings that were lost, but rebuilt, and in one case, rebuilt on another continent!
